19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has experienced a difficult year, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from spring of 2023.
Success also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's counter-punching play style and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had caused commentators to question if his capacity to compete at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an better serving game.
He came back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his initial ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.
The opponent defended four early-game break points in a tight third set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he secured the win with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
